PQV 4.0 is ready
It’s taken a lot longer than expected to release the latest version of my image viewer. Many other projects have gotten in the way, but I’ve finally wrapped up version 4 of PQV. The sales pages on Handango and PocketGear are not quite working yet, but the PayPal link works. The $14.99 license is per user, not device. A single license allows you to use the viewer on all your Windows Mobile devices and Windows Desktop. Here’s the new product page:
When you install the Pocket PC or SmartPhone versions, the Desktop PC version also gets installed.

Thank you for a nice program! I find it very useful (I currently play with PQV 4.0.30).
The only thing I can’t figure out is how activate the fullscreen mode. Could you, please, provide some info?
Is there any kind of forum or user group about this software? I’d like exchange some ideas, tips and tricks with users like me.

I removed fullscreen mode in an attempt to simplify the usability of the program. Please suggest a reasonable way to add it back without being too complicated (e.g. strange key to memorize).
Sorry to say that there isn’t an discussion forum currently available for PQV, but Modaco or Pocket PC Thoughts might be a good place to start one.

Hi once again!
I forgot to say, that the executable file, which I’ve downloaded as PPC vesion is named pqv_sp.exe (SmartPhone?)… It looks strange. I’m absolutely sure I’ve downloaded the right CAB. Moreover, I’ve investigated, that both PPC and SP versions contains the very same file pqv_sp.exe (file size in both version is the same). Is it really no difference between PPC and SP versions or probably it was just wrong packed?

The EXE for both SmartPhone and PPC are named the same. Sorry for the confusion. There probably isn’t any real difference between the two, but Visual Studio links them with the different SDKs and produces 2 different EXEs.

About the fullscreen mode I’d suggest to add extra menu item under Options -> View.
It would be also very nice to see button configuration dialog again (like in PQV 3.10). It is especially important for users, who has more then just navigation and softkey buttons on their devices (like me). What do you think?
